Views please. Saab (J) reg 2.3 turbo Carlsson special. 2 owners. Last one from nearly new. 80k miles (genuine) and 2k recently spent on engine allegedly, although I haven't yet seen that bill. Apparently all invoices are with the car too.
What is its likely worth and does it go like stink as suggested to me. How does it compare with a T5.
In anticipation of your help......and a cure for constipation I have been told!!!!!!...........Over to you.
VBR......................MD.

I had a J plate 9000 2.3 turbo years ago, not a special edn though. It was fast and felt fast (after an audi 90 2.3E), economy about 30mpg. tended to wheelspin in the wet.
I would say the only way the T5 beats it is in rear seat legroom. iirc the 9000 (hatch) has a bigger boot than an 850.
The 9000 is cheap to buy, there are a couple of potentially expensive probs, eg, the ignition pack, but these are now available for £250 or so im told.
mine got through a few windscreens, I think the very upright screen catches stones more than a laid back one. similarly the front edge of the bonnet collects stone chips.
9000 - last of the real saabs.

2 words.....BUY IT. Superb very fast car, you'll love it. It's not named after a fast swede driver for nothing. If it has been looked after you will have a very good car. Don't pay anymore over 1-1,500k for it. Keep it a year you will get nearly all your money back.

Several years ago had an 'H' plate 9000 2.3 'full house' turbo, with, I think, about 200bhp.Fabulous car apart from electronic gremlins which even my main dealer could not cure. Walnut dash, aircon & sunroof and the most comfortable seats, dressed in Bridge of Weir leather, I have EVER sat on.Fantastic ooomph in a straight line, obviously not so good on the bends, but not that sort of car anyway, very spacious 5 door (almost as much room as the replacement E class estate)and in its element driving down to Bavaria. Shame about the mpg. I second the motion to buy it.
