I'm not a fan of SMS, preferring to actually talk to someone rather than have a drawn out clickety-click to-and-fro with them, but I was pleased with the service from my local Peugeot garage: Having just booked in SWMBO's 306 Sedan over the telephone (first new exhaust back box after 11 years from new; rest of the system still fine!), a few minutes later I received an automated SMS confirming the date and time. Simple but effective, and I now know that I am expected. If I'm not, then I have the SMS to show that I should be!

Sounds like good service though I would rather have an e-mail.

If it's a similar system to my local dealer you'll get a reminder text the day before your appointment too.

Short Message Servce.

In other words, a text. Or rather "txt" that you'd send via a mobile.
The SMS touch - bedfordrl
Oh, you mean that indesipherable nonsense that my kids send me , which is always replied with "what?".
