Vauxhall Zafira 1.6 Comfort - Pezzer
Hi folks I am able to aquire from my company's fleet management provider an end of lease 1.6 Zafira Comfort for £5k.
It has approx 55k miles, FSH and 6 months warranty (xtra £200 for 12 ), 51/02 plate, Silver.

Not sure that I will be able to talk to the previous user through official channels but I will be able to see all work done and will be able to inspect etc. SWMBO has decided she wants one of these to replace the ageing Spacewagon and I though this looked like a reasonable proposition.

Would welcome your thoughts on the price/deal/car.

(PS with it being a 1.6 I'm not expecting it to be a rocketship !)

Thanks P

Not sure on the price/deal but we've had a 1.8 Design for coming up two years. It's been excellent . It strikes me that you see very little in the way of 'web gossip' regarding problems on Zafira's. Obviously 'web gossip' is hard to quantify in terms of the real product performance ..
The Vauxhall website lists a part-ex value for such a car as about £4900 if in excellent nick, so for 'retail' 5K seems good, but you would want to search other sources for a similar car to see how decent a deal it is .

You're right about the 1.6, you won't be breaking any land speed records but maybe that's not a bad thing.

These Zafiras are good vehicles, robust GM engineering, cheap to service and repair when things do go wrong. Flex 7 seats great.

Thanks X, I hope you are right.

My Dad and Step-mum have one - seems pretty solid, seating excellent. Gears need to be used a lot with the 1.6, so economy may suffer around town.

Thats why most people go for the Diesel.

Test drove Diesel this time last year as they were on 0% offer, before the new one came out in the summer it was ok, the interior finish was in my humble oppinion was only average/poor but as a tool for doing the job it seemed acceptable depends on what deal your being offerd.... Then went and test drove the Honda FRV seemed a much nicer place to be.
ended up not buying either... Don't ask!
