peugeot 406 coupe V6 - Nigel Ross
Can't start, won't start. I know of one other owner who has reported the same problem of refusing to start. Is this a common problem? It happened at 10,000 miles in my case and diagnostics showed a "small deviation on manufacturer's spec. for the HT."

We have owned a 406 Coupe V6 automatic since December 99 and it has persistent flat spot when pulling away from stationary - has been back to main agent three times for 'download to engine ECU' to clear problem - yet still the problem persists. We also had one occasion of stalling when engine cold and 15 minute wait to restart -we only use Shell or Texaco unleaded and change oil every 5000 miles or six months. It is a real shame as it spoils what is otherwise an enjoyable car.

BBR of Brackley can fix this if Peugeot can't. Alternatively try one of the other ECU/'chipping' specialists in the FAQ answer on this website.
