Toyota Avensis remote locking - olly49
Hi to all
I have a problem with the central locking on my Toyota Avensis 1.8 GLS 1998.
The alarm works from both key fobs but the central locking does not - interior light also will not work when door is opened(bulb is ok)- interior door lock will not activate either so I was thinking maybe it was a fuse, checked all the fuses and they are ok (2 boxes one inside the vehicle and the other in the engine compartment - is there any more).
Does the central locking have a relay?
It seems strange that it as stopped working all of a sudden.
There as to be a simple explanation for this - Can any one thing of anything else.
Where is the main unit for the central locking,does this have its own fuse?

I had a related problem on my Mondeo, and it looked as though a fuse had broken, but it had to have a new Electronic Control Unit.
