Hyundai are bringing back the Amica, I can't understand why they are doing this as its the same car with a different front. It wasn't a great car when it came out and things have moved on a lot recently with small cars, a move to ruin a brand if ever I saw one.

Shocker
a very reliable car - wonder which dealerships they are going to?
no announcement by hyundai uk?

Not mad at all. Probably come in at a cheap price to compete with Suzuki Wagon R and similar which have a following with the elderly who find the ease of access and good (i.e. upright) driving position and good visibility to be the most important things in cars.
If its £5000 it will sell very well.

Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?

And with, I presume, a five year warranty?

Can't disagree more - think Hyundai are pretty clever these days, latest Top Gear Survey suggest they know how to keep their customers happy:
"Meanwhile, South Korean car maker Hyundai is on the up. You rated its products above Audi's, and only slightly behind BMW's."
-- Personally can't wait for the new Coupe due out end 2006/start 2007, sounds pretty impressive, particularly with the move towards RWD
-- have to mention I own a current model Coupe which I'm very happy with

They seem to have with the new Sonata; the four cylinder engine has been panned and they are not bringing in the six.
Also, and this may be owner's prejudice, the old car, with which we are very happy, a six of course with a pleasant whooop, is just a nice size and the new one is more American size.
Oh for a Camry six - for that sort of car of course.
I await (if I survive!) the new coupe with interest. Our son-in-law has the Evolution variety of the previous manifestation and will not change it.
In my view Hyundai is where Toyota were perhaps 25 years ago. Toyota peaked with the twin turbo Supra and are now collapsing into total boredom, not even a new MR2, just when some others, including Nissan and the Yanks, deem it important to have something interesting.
For the benefit of my hypothetical reader, by the way, the salt has erupted and Toad is confined to barracks; but there are still traces of P Zero twin black lines (T blown at 1.1 kg/cm squared) in West Park Road!

i understand part of that (the toyota bit anyway)and agree with you, i just wish that you could source bearings for hundies from bearing shops, rather than the expensive dealers only.
