Vauxhall Vectra B (1995 - 1999) - replaced h/light bulb. Aim check?

replaced h/light bulb. Aim check? - Mapmaker
I replaced the headlight bulb on a Vectra yesterday. Do I need to have the aiming checked by a garage? Thanks.

not if you put a quality bulb in and its sat in its holder properly.

Park up a few feet away from a wall or fence and compare headlight beam height (on dipped beam) with the other one that you didn't change. Chances are it'll be the same if you seated the bulb correctly in it's holder.

I did that at the time and thought it was about OK. What a badly engineered headlight holder - thought I'd have to get the engine out to change the bulb! Thanks.
