My 2 yo Scenic (17k on the clock) has uneven wear on the left rear tyre. Tread depth down to 2mm and wear is uneven across the width of the tyre with greater wear taking place on the outboard side. Right rear still has 4mm and wearing evenly. Local Kwik Fit say it is not due to wheel imbalance and could be rear tracking. Dealer has checked and cannot find any misalignment or other problem with rear suspension. Tyres are original factory fitted Michelins.
Anyone out there had a similar problem ?

The fact that one is wearing more than the other would indicate that something might be misaligned. I have not heard of any problems running on Michelins, there are reports of Continetals not being a particularly good match for Scenics and Meganes, or vice versa depending on what way you look at it. Having said that, the Contis on my 04 Megane are wearing well.

My Scenic has Michelins and the rear tyre wear out about 6-5000 miles before the fronts .The fronts wear very evenly across the tyre and equally as a pair but the rear tyres on the last 3 sets wear unevenly.
offside rear wears out 2-3000 miles before the nearside rear with obout 4-mm on inboard and 2-mm on out board side of tyres.
My Scenic is always heavily loaded but distributed evenly in the boot
