Wonky steering wheel - prm
My steering wheel has always been off centre by about 1" to the right, i've just changed my steel 16" wheels to alloy 17" and the steering wheel was spot on, why would this be, shouldn't make any difference surely, anyway went to get the tracking done which was out, now trackings spot on the steering wheel is offset about half an inch the other way, i'm confused.

So time to return to the tracking co and get it sorted out.
They would normally assume the wheel was already in the centre.
They should lock/clamp the steering wheel before starting to adjust the tracking.
Some try to do a quick job and adjust one side only when both sides need a tweek. This can cause the steering wheel to be off centre.

No idea re changing wheel size.

One or other set of tyres worn unevenly.

Cheddar, could be, i've noticed the n/s front is almost new and the o/s front is maybe a third worn, but would that make a big difference?

Well, took it back as suggested and the tracking was still out a bit, steering wheels better, just out very slightly (1/4") i can live with that, thanks.
