my friends aerial has been vandalised on his peugeot 306, 'Y' reg which has the roof mounted type.
Question; can the roof base & aerial be bought without the cable, and then be connected to the existing cable. ( the routing of a new cable appears a nightmare )
Secondary, can the headlining & internal light cluster be easier removed to expose the aerial fixing.
Many thanks in anticipation

Just replaced an aerial on a Y reg 406 estate, also roof mounted (car wash error!). The base and aerial were brought from the Peugeot main dealer for about £9.50. I also asked someone in their servicing department how to replace it, and they were very helpful. With the 406, the light cluster just flipped down with a screwdriver, and then two allen bolts were removed. This exposes a circular thing (amplifier?), and the aeriel base then just fitted into this.
Hope this helps

If you cannot get into the aerial terminals cut the new cable leaving a few inches.Join this to the old one by twisting and soldering the wires.Make sure no strands of screen are shorting to the centre wire and insulate with tape.

If you had brought it from GSF Car Parts it would have cost half.
