We've just taken delivery of one of these to use as our unmarked ANPR car. It appears that in Skoda land everybody is under six feet tall because I find it impossible to get comfy in. The wheel adjustment is appalling. The carpet on the passenger side is sodden front to back and the workshop doesn't know why. And the ANPR keeps crashing, so not too good a start. I very nearly bought one of these once, glad I didn't.

I seem to remeber that the Seat Leon had a similar problem with water in the footwell - could be a rubber grommet has fallen out....? Someone will know on the board.

You nearly bought a VrS with APNR?
Thats very sad, talk about taking work home in a briefcase!

Wet carpet:
A quick Google seems to point the finger at the ubiquitous dodgy VAG pollen filter. It almost certainly has a broken case, or the lid is incorrectly fitted.
Problem affects just about every VAG model you can shake a stick at!

MLC,
You've been a member of the BR long enough to know the rules by now.
You are not allowed to knock Skodas, only VWs.

Whats ANPR please?
Do you like anything about it?

Automatic number plate recognition - spots toerags driving stolen cars, without tax etc. Some go ´yabba dabba dooo!´when they get a ´hit´.
|
And no, it can't be bought as an optional extra at the Skoda dealer.
