Recommended 7 seater auto estate

Recommended 7 seater auto estate - steve
We have friends from America in UK for 2 - 3 years and they need to buy a 7 seater estate car for large family. Must be auto, budget is £3k ish more if a good deal. Objective is for the car to last the 2 - 3 years doing about 10 - 15k miles pa.

My suggested list is a people carrier eg Galaxy or Mercedes E class or Volvo 940/960.

Are there any other suggestions in this price range?

Old Merc E-class would fit the bill (e.g. 230E or 300E estate). Do a search - I have previously posted with details of what to check for when buying one of these.

I think you'll struggle to get an auto galaxy/sharan for that sort of money but you could pick up an early Previa or one of the many Jap import versions

dont touch an auto espace i had one the gear box threw in the towel at 60K and it cost 3 grand to fix...cheers...keo.
