Creaky noise. Rover 214 - redboy1976
My rover 214 creaks under the strain as I or passengers get out, clearly must be something wrong with suspension/ a earing somewhere- what is this likely to be precisely and is it a big job to fix?

its a rover 213, thats whats wrong.

seriously

springs rubbingin the mountings try a little oil or jetwash the dirtout of them then oil.

Could be something as simple as the handrake adjustment, brake shoes or whatever. I'm no mechanic but my car does exactly the same on a slant (the drive for example) when people get in and out. I'm told it's very easy to fix but I've never got around to doing it.
