Audi A6, high speed judder - Rob C
My wife pointed this out to me, so this very morning I tried it out.

At about 75mph, there is a faint judder that is easily passed off as wheel balancing, but take it up to 100mph and the whole car judders quite a bit.

It's not through the steering wheel but "feels" like it emanates (sp?) from the front.

I'm thinking bent driveshaft, I'm thinking lots of money.

Any ideas?

and before anyone says it, yes I could just stick to the motorway speed limit and the problem won't appear.

If the whole car judders, but not felt through the steering wheel, then it could just be that the rear wheels are out of balance. The \"feeling\" it\'s eminates from the front could just be oscillation through the bodywork.

Another thought is that maybe one of the rear tyres has \"gone out of round\"

I'm really hoping you're right.

Is this a quattro or 2wd? Wheel bearings at the back maybe?
