Thanks for replying.
My car manufactures warranty ran out in July of this year. I bought the car at the beginning or July, and there was no vibration or shudder apparant at this time. When i bought the car the tyres on the front were 2 different budget makes and 2 michellin on the back. As soon as i got the car i changed the front tyres and the shudder was not apparant.
The vibration started after i had the gear selector cables changed. The garage insists it is not conected and blamed having two different makes of tyres on the car. Hence why i changed the back tyres. They are still insisting its the tyres but cannot explain why they think that.

From your description of the shudder I would be looking for something drivetrain related. Perhaps a driveshaft/CV joint fault or something not right with the gearbox mounting or its alignment.
