Has anyone had any experience of Monaz tyres. Are tey good or bad. Tyre dealer near where I am seems to have them at a very good price. Any opinions would be welcome. Thanks..

Ah, Monzas. I had a lovely pair of Monza HR7's on the back of a 1991 Cavalier once. I know these cars are famed for their less than perfect road manners, but mine oversteered more easily and sharply than a Beetle with crossplies I once owned. New shocks mad very little difference. I'd really avoid Monzas. They were absolutely terrifying on damp roundabouts... They were my last flirtation with cheap tyres - absolute false economy, in my opinion.

I had a pair fitted to the front of my Orion ( God how I hated that car! but thats another tale!) They used to slide with mearest touch of the break pedal if there was a remote possiblity that at some point in the future there may be just the hint of moisture.
They were sooooo bad I wouldn't let Mrs JaB drive the car.
Buy the best you can afford... it's your life after all ;-)
