It seems as though this company has appointed administrators so if you have a warranty from them it might be worth checking to see what is happening and what transfer of undertakings are going to be done (if any).

From their website www.warrantyholdings.co.uk

Three partners in Grant Thornton were appointed joint administrators of Oriel Investment Corporation Limited and a number of its subsidiaries ? including Warranty Holdings Limited and WHA Limited on 24th March 2004.

The joint administrators are continuing the business on a limited basis whilst discussions take place with potential interested parties.

How can you not make profits on a business who's sole aim seems to be to exclude claims?
Warranty Holdings - BazzaBear {P}
Perhaps it's because of the huge number of staff they had to employ in order to ensure that the person you spoke to about a prospective claim who said 'Oh yes Sir, that's a perfectly acceptable way of processing it' was never the same person as the one who later said 'Oh no Sir, none of our operatives would have told you that, that's just not how our 652 step claim system works, I'm afraid we can't pay out on that now'

the business was put into administration at the request of ford usa who owned the company.

reason given was alleged multi-milion pound fraud.

uk police are investigating.

no new business being taken on but apparently ford claim that existing customers will have policies honoured.

Just spoke to friendly neighbourhood Fiat dealer, which looks after Mrs B's Punto, which is covered by a WH Fiat Approved warranty - service manager confirmed, as Dalglish says, that all existing policies will be honoured, but no new business is being written, which kind of stuffs a lot of manufacturers' "approved used" packages!
