how diverse is your driving ?
I regularly drive ;
1. fiesta van, old, underpowered, slow, floats along cheaply.
2. bmw coupe, powerful, fast, comfortable.
3. mgf trophy, road hugger, very fast, go-kart.
each gets from a to b, but in totally different modes
1. glad to arrive
2. sorry the journeys over
3. finish with a smile!
is there more diverse transport?

I drive....
1. An Alfa 156 GTA, rocket ship
2. Alfa 147 JTD, nice, refined, fairly quick, very economical
3. Skoda Fabia pick up (at work)
Occaisionally I drive
4. Renault Espace, nice comfortable but rolls a bit
5 Fiat Punto JTD, quick! Slighlty unrefined

As you can imagine - very, very different cars...

1) Audi A2 TDi - relaxed effortless cossetted motoring
2) smart cabrio - crazy 'wind in your hair' remapped 600cc turbo fun!

1) 2.5 auto X Type - no rear wiper.
2) Daewoo Matiz - 796cc engine - has a rear wiper!

1) 307 Estate - dull, dull, dull (but practical)
2) Punto HGT - skittish & not very GT

1) 11 yr old Maestro diesel van ('cos I still can't make up my mind what to swap it in for)- but has got a turbo engine & pas, courtesy an H reg Montego. Comfortable, economical & practical.
2)11 month old Mx5 Montana - but I'm only allowed as passenger, courtesy Mrs Vansboy. Uncomfortable,not practical,was nice in the heat of the summer, on both days!!But it's HERS!!

2. Citroen C3 HDi 90, nippy, comfortable, practical; enjoyable change from the above
3. Suzuki Bandit 600, fun, more than enough power for my current abilites; an absolute hoot

1.My Rover 418 diesel,comfy,economical,but can get a wiggle on
2.Her Renault 5 GTX,wheelspinningly fast,bumpy ride,sticks to the road
3.Another diesel,my DAF XF480,twin bunks(can only sleep in one!)BIG PRESENCE on the road!

1. 406HDi, comfortable, easy, economical commuter
2. SWMBO's Vectra SRi, nippy, firm(ish), IMO a better car than it's given credit for, just enough power for a lady-driver;-)
3. 1983 Alfa GTV6, summertime joy mobile.

I've an old dielsel cavalier, the everyday workhorse
and an Imprezza turbo for when I want some fun, but the Imprezza will soon be replaced by a caterham 7 superlight

VW Caravelle 2.5TDI to carry the large family-102bhp
VW Golf 1.9TDI for me when it's slippy-90BHP
Honda VFR800Fi for me when I need to escape. 108bhp.

Renault master t35d amazing workhorse incredible load capability very large, fun to drive.
isuzu trooper 2.8 td lwb amazing 4x4 cheap to buy cheap to run cheap to insure fun to drive will go anywhere will tow unbeleivable weights.
rover metro deisel cos it really is cheap to run and its still fun to drive
note i say fun to drive they are not powerful exhilerating vehicles but yes they can still be fun to drive and they are all smelly old diesel burners i must be getting old i now preffer diesels.

2. brand new yaris ; for her indoors, parked on the drive
3. beaten up escort ; parked in garage so neighbours cant see! but used as the daily workhouse.
