Hey everyone,
Looking for some input on a noise issue with my Lexus IS250.
-
Yesterday, I started noticing a ticking noise, most noticeable when the engine is at idle.
-
When I rev the engine to around 2000 RPM, the ticking seems to increase in frequency.
-
However, once I get to around 3000 RPM, it becomes much less noticeable or seems to disappear entirely.
-
Strangely, the noise was gone this morning during my first drive, but it came back again later in the day.
-
I tried to pinpoint the source and it seems to be coming from the front of the engine. While inspecting, I noticed the water pump pulley has a visible wobble, and it seems to line up with the ticking sound.
Does this sound like it could be the root cause? I've attached a video for reference.

Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
