DACIA Sandero II 1.0 SCe 75 (B8JC, B8JD) 73 hp Pet - Does Dacia 2018 1.0 Petrol have a anti roll bar - kazordoon

I took my Dacia for the annual MOT test. Unfortunately it failed and one of the reasons was that the front anti roll bar was missing.

So I went to Halfords to get one. They couldn't find one and said that very probably this model of Dacia doesn't come with one.

I have been trying to find this bar, but I can't find it anywhere. Does this Dacia have an anti roll bar or not ?? Please help.

I would find it incredible if it had no anti-roll bar (aka stabiliser), particularly on a relatively high vehicle, as the Dacia Sandero or Duster are.

Don't you just love Halfords?

Yes, it has an ARB. It wouldn't fail the MOT for not having if it didn't come with it. Unless it's an MOT only place, ask whoever failed it for a price to replace it. Failing that, ask Dacia or take it to a Dacia dealer.

Halfords is for wiper blades and air fresheners.

I'm trying to think of a reason why that bar should be 'missing' - short of it not having been fitted at the factory ? It can't have fallen off without being noticed, and I can't see anyone nicking it. Without the bar I would have thought driving characteristics would be rather poor too ?

A number of cheaper cars have provision for an anti-roll bar but not fitted on all versions - our Vauxhall Nova was a 1.2 Merit, almost the bottom trim/engine and had no anti-roll bars fitted - so I "upgraded" it by fitting those from a 1.4 SR.

Perhaps in the OP's case the MoT tester made a mistake, having seen fitting points with nothing fitted.
