Not only A to B - Mikel
The bottom line for using a car is will it get there without breaking down, and probably second will it be beset by electrical and mechanical niggles/ faults during the period of ownership. All the reliability surveys seem to say buy Japanese. Last weekend I rented a Nissan Almera 1.4S for a couple of days. This was the worst car I've driven; terrible ride, unsettled by every minor undulation in the road, indifferent gear change and engine, poor rear interior space etc It's the only car I've driven which made this driver feel carsick as well as the passengers. I know this by no means represents all Japanese cars, but however reliable it may be I was very relieved to get back into my (poorly rated) VW and actually enjoy driving again.
