Is the BR the most active car forum in the UK?
We already know it is the best :-)

Yes but ...... a few days ago I could sit down for a quick blast through the posts with a glass of wine (access is from home - no time at work) and the last few nights it's been 3 glasses of wine's worth - It's going to cost me a a booze cruise! Some really good threads recently - thanks for the site HJ!

I keep spreading the word amongst my friends & colleagues about how good this site is. I'm delighted to hear it's on the up-and-up; it deserves to be.

As does 8ball, i've initiated a few new regulars aswell, purely by talking about this site so much that curiousity got the better of them, they checked it out and got hooked too!
I can honestly say this site has saved me 100's of pounds of repair costs even in just the last 6 months, thankyou everyone

One of the newbies (is that a word?) to HJ but I must say I'm impressed. Lots of knowledgeable people, sensible advise and a good laugh.
Keep up the good work.

If its not a state secret HJ, what are the number of posts or hits the advertisers say are needed to keep the site viable? I must admit to frustration at finding ebay and freeserve pop ups all over the place but if its the price we have to pay I don't mind.
I also echo the sentiments above. As a recent registration to the site out of idle boredom , I'm now hooked. The trouble is I should be doing some work.

I think the most visible sign of the popularity is that I could usually sign in at night and keep to the first page and cover all new threads. Now I need to go to page 2 and , occasionally 3 to read everything.
Apparently in the other side of the room I have a TV, Hi Fi, wife and kids, but I'll get to them eventually!!!

I have taken the HJ plea to heart and now look at least one of the flyers whenever I surf the site, generally one of the car manufacturers. This is concurrent with listening to a CD of Leadbelly in the computer CDRom, performing 'Goodnight Irene'. What better way to wind down.
