Fiesta 1.25 LX 1996 front suspension - pmh
78k miles, failed Mot on both front lower suspension arm rubbers 'split to excess'.
I am told the bushes are not replaceable, replace whole arm only.
How easy is this job? My Haynes manual is in France, and the MoT tester said it can be a little difficult, 'splitting and then lining up ball joints' because of the stiffness of the new rubbers.

Have access to pit which may make it easier?

Any comments pse.

I had mine replaced by a non Ford garage which used Quinton Hazel parts. This put the tracking out which added another cost to the job. If you d.i.y, I would recommend buying genuine Ford parts, which cost only little more and should be easier to fit.

the bushes are available from ford dealers they cost about £4.50 each plus vat the arm has to be removed and they have to be chieseled out and pressed back in . they are cheaper than new arms unless you buy none ford arms

Do replacement bushes press in easily? What sort of diameter? Is it big vice plus mandrell job? or knock in?
