E class - Warranty - barney100
6 months into used car ownership from a main dealers I have a small problem. The handbrake release mechanism dosen’t always work properlly. I am told to bring it in, they say Mercedes run the warranty but I thought the contract was with the seller I.e the dealer.

IIRC, the Mercedes used car warranty is actually more of an insurance against components going wrong. It's unusual in that it includes some items of wear and tear not covered by other be warranties.

I think it is operated by Mercedes or their insurance arm.

Don't overthink it and get it booked in for repair, Covid rules allowing.
