Ford Galaxy - 2008 Ford Galaxy 2.0 outside air sensor location - Paul Teehan

I need to replace the 'outside air temperature sensor' on my mk3 2008 Ford Galaxy 2.0 tdci. Could you tell me where it is located please. Also does it have any bearing on the running of the car or is it simply to tell you the outside temperature. Thanks

It’s behind the front bumper. It only affects the operation of the climate control. Why does it need replacing? They cost around £80 . Is the outside air temp displayed correctly?
