Toyota Auris 2008 - Boot water ingress - Billsboy

A relative has passed his 2008 Toyota Auris on to his son. Berfore he passed it on, he sent it to the main dealer for repairs to a problem with water ingress into tthe spare wheel well.Three visits later and at a cost of over £600, they have still not solved the problem.

Does anyone know if this is a common problem with this model or have any idea of the source of the leaK.

More than likely just the rear lamp gaskets need replacing, a fairly common fault.

First of all I'd suggest that if a garage has charged £600 without curing the problem, then a refund should be sought, or they should continue at no further charge until it is rectified.
