What would you pay for a 2000 v mondeo glx 1.8 with 89000 on the clock, from a dealer with full service history.
Is it better to go for older car with lower mileage or newer car with more mileage, it was a reps car so its munched motorway but has the 1.8 engine had a hard time pulling this estate around?

Deffo high mileage/newer as opposed to low mileage/older. As to a value at a rough guess 4k?

We paid £3800 for a 99/T 84k mile Mondeo 2.0 Ghia hatch in February, absolutely no problems at all so far. The 1.8 engine is also more than up to the job, I would only have concerns about long life in a 1.6 estate. Anyway, the estate body isn't all that much heavier than the hatch or saloon.

It's not the body weight but what was carted around in the back that matters. Was he delivering bags of cement or feather dusters?
