Hyundai Getz 2005 - reversing - dazzabeezer

I have recently purchased a 2005 automatic Hyundai getz 1.4.

It may be me but when I apply the accelerator when reversing (I don't always need gas) the pedal appears very sensitive. The slightest tap and it goes. Do you think there may be something wrong or is it me having to get used to the car?
