Hi, I've had my C Max for a year without any problems. Today after pulling away the car was unable to proceed through the gears and was stuck in 1 limiting my speed top around 15mph and error message came on the dash "Transmission Malfunction" I went in to manual and was able to change up and down the gears but not perfectly it was a bit stop and start. When in a safe place i pulled over and turned the engine off and back on again and the problem was gone. I drove back home without any problems.

One thing I did notice and not sure if its normal is that when in reversing instead of the R being shown it flashes P. unsure if that is related in anyway.

Supposed to be visiting my son for his 18th in Turo this weekend, wondering if its a good idea to drive the vechile from worcester with this problem?

If anyone can shed any light on this problem and a fix I would be much appreciated.
