Ford Focus 1.6 Auto - M.O.T questions - bluenun

I had my Ford Focus M.O.T'd January 2015.

I had to have a rear tyre fitted. Afterwards I had a 3 hour drive to where I was moving to and when I got there I noticed a nail in the rear tyre.

I have been driving it like that for the last nine months, it does not lose air pressure.

Will it fail the M.O.T for having a nail in the tyre?

I have a yellow light that sometimes flashes, sometimes on all the time I am driving, it is for the air bag.

What reason would cause the light to come on and will it fail the M.O.T.

Nail is just an advisory. Don't know about the airbag warning light.

Air bag warning light illumiated at the time of an mot test will be a fail.

The airbag warning light is quite possibly just a bad connection. Easy enough to take the car into an auto electrician and ask them to have a look, and if it is something like a bad/loose connection it won't even be expensive to fix.

As to the tyre, get it fixed. While it is unlikely to fail while driving at speed, if it did do so the consequences could be catastrophic ...
