Driving on M6 yesterday, southbound, through the roadworks north of Birmingham. All traffic moving at approx 50mph, traffic reasonably heavy. Spotted blue lights in my mirror; all traffic in Lane 3 slotting neatly into Lane 2 to let the two police cars through (one black and unmarked, the other a dog patrol in a Volvo). I moved over too. But in front of me was a black 12-reg Vivaro (might have been a Renault or Nissan I suppose) and the police sat on its tail for a mile or so, sirens and blue lights going: did the driver give way? Did he even notice? No, steady 50mph in Lane 3. Unobservant? Driving WDC&A? Stubborn? Dim? I'm not sure... what can you do? Police eventually got past, didn't pull him over as manifestly they had bigger fish to fry. I rather hope the RK is getting a visit soon....
