Ford Focus 1.6 (115) - Changing from sport to hard tyre - GavinBu

I'm wondering what impact going from Continetal Sport Contact 5s to a harder non sport tyre like the Avon ZV5 would have, other than save me £50?

I have two mid-price/ budget tyres on the back Does this mean I'm geting little benefit from having the Sport Contacts on the front? Would having harder rubber be noticable?

I'm a pretty progressive driver, daily commute is mainly along NSL country roads.
