Discovery sport SE Tech or BMW X5 3.0TD xDrive30d - Which of these two 7 seaters should I get? - Cardriver123
I need to buy a new car pretty quickly and needs to be 7 seater as have 3 small kids and need to be able to take more kids.
I have narrowed it down to Discovery sport SE Tech or BMW X5 3.0TD xDrive30d M Sport. Both are similar price (BMW is second hand 2013) but can't deicde

Any thoughts?

Very different cars. The X5 is a big, hulking 4x4, whereas the Disco sport is more Freelander sized.

I'd suggest you drive both, and see what you think. I've had a X5 as a courtesy car, and hated it.

Disco sport for me

but im sure there is a better engine coming out soon for it

Why have Landrover launched a car with an obsolete engine, which will be replaced not long after the launch?

If you want the Landrover I should get down to the dealer pretty quick, there is a waiting list.

I fancy one, but I will wait for the new engine and see what that is like.

Ingenium engine production will ramp up gradually - Jaguar need those engines for XE and new XF more than Land Rover - they could have delayed launch of Discovery Sport for a year but clearly felt it was worthwhile not to.
