Suzuki Swift - Suzuki Swift or Hyundai i10, can't decide, help. - devontdi

looking at changing my fiat panda after seven years. choice is between suzuki swift 1.2 sz3 or hyundai i10 1.2 premium. Both have nice spec, suzuki giving free satnav currently and a better part ex, hyundai through their affinity scheme will do the i10 for 9400,

suzuki is a nicer drive but noisier, has more presence on the road, the i10 is remarkably spacious, and quieter at speed, longer warranty.

cost to change is 600 more for suzuki, is it worth the extra, thoughts please

'WHAT CAR' magazine have just voted the Hyundai best super mini this year so my money would be on that one.

You've pretty well summed the difference up yourself. The Swift is more fun to drive, the i10 more relaxing. A bit like a smaller-scale BMW v Audi debate.

I think only you - having presumably test-driven both - can decide which one better suits your driving style. Personally I'd have a 5-door VW Up or Skoda Citigo in front of either, because I'd want a bit of each quality.

I run both. I think overall the Swift is a better car-fun to drive and a better ride. But both are very good superminis. Have an extended test drive in both.

I thought the Swift was a bigger car than the i10. The Splash is normally seenm as the i10's competitor.

I have the i10 which is excellent and they have a great warranty and service package. The Swift has a more powerful engine and I believe would be more fun to drive. However both are good cars and I would choose after a few miles in each plus evaluate the dealership. It can be annoying if you choose a great car only to have a grim experience every time it goes in for a service. (Hands up Ford!!).

thanks for all the comments, we went with the swift, nicer drive and better dealer swung it, suzuki have added sat nav and 3 years 0% finance now too. arrives in march.
