Citroen Xsara Picasso - Broken Rear Seat Removal - Frustrated Picasso Owner

The push up bar on one of the rear seats is disconnected as a result that seat is is the locked position and I cannot remove it. I have a replacement seat but cann't remove the existing. Any advice would be gratefully received.
