I am shortly taking deleviery of a new model X-Trail. It comes with 19 inch wheels 19 x 7.0J with 225/55R/19 tyres.

For the winter set up, can I use 17 inch 7.0J alloy rims without complications? ... And what might be the best profile of winter tyre to use for grip and comfort ... 55 / 60 / 65? (The Visia and Acenta models use 225 /65R/17 tyres).

Lastly, I note that there are some good C/C/71-72 decibel Nokian tyres, but they are described as for sports models - Given this, what would be a good set of tyres to aim for to get best grip, noise and economy. The budget is restricted I would add.
