Dear All

so far all your comment made me very happy as it helped me to locate and fix the problems i had.

this time i have an old issue but now is constant.My temperature gauge is jumping or sometimes not even move despite the engine is hot.can it be the dasbord problem or something else in the egine or uder the bonnet?

so just need to check the gauge on the dashboard or elswhere?

as apways all your help much appreciated

The first thing to check would be the temperature sensor.

Yep, tempeature sender unit. Common fail part.

It's usually located on the side of the engine block, near to the battery.

Not too expensive, less than £15 from dealers or get a cheaper pattern part from Euro, GSF or Ebay.
