Peugeot 307 SW - My peugeot lost power on motorway - maddy
My husband and I were going towards gatwick airport in our car, suddenly the car lost power and wouldn't go. After we had stopped on the hard shoulder my husband shut down the power and then started the car and it worked. This happened around 7 times. Could you tell me what could be the reason behind this?

Petrol? Diesel? What year? What mileage? Any warning lights on the dash?

With these helpful pieces of information maybe someone can suggest a reason. Without them the question would be better addressed to a clairvoyant.

EGR valve needs cleaning ,DPF if it has one needs replacing, turbo or turbo actuator acting up.I would start with the EGR valve its the cheapest option,

Even cheaper is the diesel fuel filter.Replace this before anything else.hth

You can throw a dozen parts at this error. When it happened to me it was an injector.

The only way to be sure where the fault lies is to get a diagnostic check.

Is there anyone close to you on this map:

Its a network of Peugeot owners with the Lexia diagnostic equipment - much better at pinpointing faults than a generic code reader.

My brother is driving a 52 plate 307SW which has just done 200,000 miles. He's the second owner and it came with full dealer service history.

The amazing thing is that there's no sign of wear to the seats. The car looks, feels and drives like a sub 100,000 miler!
