Are you, or do you know Ross2468?

Keen to speak to he/she or anyone else who has had damage caused by this problem.

I too bought a Mazda 6 from Carshop and have had exactly the same scenario, except I didn't have the extended warranty, although it seems it woulD have been useless anyway

Very common problem with timing chains on Mazda 6 ! They can also run cranks !
