vauxhall corsa 2000 - Corsa 2000 gear linkage - Kyy

I'm having real trouble trying to find a gear linkage thats suitable for my car. I have found one on vauxhalls website but trying to look around and find one cheaper. I believe this is the product number I need but I'm not 100% sure it'll fit on my car (90578709). Any help would be appreciated on this!

Is this a Corsa B or C.If it is the latter,then I think you can buy the linkage from Vauxhall for around £50.

I have no idea this is the problem, I think it's a b as its a 2000 but when I search it will throw in both.

Ok its a corsa b and vauxhall have quoted me £160+ vat for the part, there must be somewhere cheaper!

The part you link to is one of 4 listed for the Corsa-B. You need to go armed with your reg/VIN to vauxhall to identify the correct part.

Furthermore, you need to be certain that it's the main linkage control which has failed, especially if you're going to be spending £150 on it. Can you see the free play/cause of the symptoms (whatever they are).

There are obviously other avenues to obtaining parts, notably from the second-hand market. Or you may be able to re-engineer your existing linkage using replacement bushings or bearings.
