Citroen C5- 2004 - Tow bar electrics - Dawsy

I tow a caravan and found the auxilary plug and socket had melted, so I replaced them. There does not appear to be any power to the socket so I think a fuse will have blown. Can anyone tell me ? is there an inline fuse - if so where or is it fused from the fuse boards in the car - inside the engine compt or in the glove box. If so what number of fuse should I check.

The aux socket power supply fuse is usually located near the battery(possibly an in-line fuse direct on the pos terminal).Also you may only get power supply to the socket with engine running.hth

many thanks, have tested with engine running and still no supply.
