vw polo 2005 - anti roll bar drop link - nicnac

hi,

My car recently failed its mot and i was told to pass the mot i need to repair the o/s anti roll bar drop link. i was quoted a price of £71 for parts labour and vat. is this a fair price?

If you're refering to main dealer prices, then probably.

Pattern drop links can be had from about a tenner for a pair from a variety of sources.
Heavy duty Meyle items can be had for £40 for a pair.
No idea how much a dealer would charge for OE parts.

I could do a pair in an hour on my drive, so a garage should be able to do the same, lets say £40 labour at an indipendant.

I'd suggest doing the pair.

They take 5-10 minutes a side to change - easy-peasy job. Jacking the car up takes as long as changing them!
