Citroen C3 - 2022 You! says "Cannot connect" when calling - Alydrysd

I have had the car since July and only noticed this issue today when trying to make a call on the way home from work today.

Bluetooth works for Spotify and answering calls absolutely fine, no issues at all. However, when trying to make a call myself, it cuts off and goes back to the radio home screen. When I look at my phone when trying to make a call via my car, it ends the call with the messaging saying it "cannot connect". I have tried different phone numbers and none work.

I have tried turning Bluetooth off and on via both car and phone, I have switched car off and on and did a reset of the infotainment system and it doesn't seem to work either.

Is there anything else I can try?

Have you tried using a cable rather than Bluetooth?

No, I haven't.

I only discovered this issue this afternoon. Seems a little strange that music and incoming calls are fine. I would prefer not having to use a cable seen as my 2016 C1 managed outgoing calls fine.

I could give it a go if the problem persists.

What phone do you have?

Feels like a permissions thing on your phone to me.

Any other devices connected to your phone - eg smart watch or Amazon Echo Auto.

I personally had a calling issue with my new car whilst also using the latter.

Are you using Android Auto - or does the car not support that?

As previously mentioned in the thread and as a diagnostic procedure, try using a cable,

On your phone examine various settings eg connected devices under bluetooth and make sure the required things are enabled re your car. On mine(Pixel 9a) it's HD Audio, Phone calls, Media audio, Allow access to contacts.history, Text messages.
