Any other devices connected to your phone - eg smart watch or Amazon Echo Auto.
I personally had a calling issue with my new car whilst also using the latter.
Are you using Android Auto - or does the car not support that?
As previously mentioned in the thread and as a diagnostic procedure, try using a cable,
On your phone examine various settings eg connected devices under bluetooth and make sure the required things are enabled re your car. On mine(Pixel 9a) it's HD Audio, Phone calls, Media audio, Allow access to contacts.history, Text messages.
