Perhaps more worrisome than Dacia's not having the latest crash avoidance gizmo's?.
Apparently during Euro NCAP's offset frontal crash, the seat latching mechanism failed causing it to twist. This resulted in a more severe impact on the drivers right leg that if the seat had remained in place.
Euro NCAP also found that the drivers head could "bottom out" through the airbag. I'm not 100% sure what this means, but would assume the drivers head struck the steering wheel through the airbag.
MG have implemented changes to the seat mechanism and will also tweak the airbag, but it looks like they aren't doing anything to cars already sold (unless forced to recall by relevant authorities).
