Could you please advise me, is it safe to charge the 12v battery still connected at 1.5amps?

Always had older vehicles and had no problems doing it this way. Bearing in mind the polo is a 2022 model with a lot more electronics so wary if still safe. Reluctant to disconnect battery. Need to trickle charge as car may only be driven once a week.
