Backroom unusable for me. So, so slow. - KB.

Can't ever recall the Backroom being as bad as this. Pretty much a pointless exercise trying to read anything. Or to log in.

Yes, I did post this, but it took ages and ages.

Firefox, Chrome and my mobile phone .... all the same.

After 23 years of popping in and out here I shan't waste any more time unless something happens to fix it. It's been bad for a week or so and I recall seeing reference to it before, so am not holding my breath. Perhaps it' connected to the uncertainty of the sitea? Maybe the management can't be bothered to sort it out? I have no idea.

Same here. The main site loads fairly normally but the BR takes a couple of minutes to open each page. So that even once I am in, moving to another thread has the same delay.

Depends on the time of day, and presumably how much else is going on or prioritised? at the server.

Now at 0854 all is smooth running.

Tried before 8.00am today.

It fired slowly but access to Ask HJ and the Backroom were glacially slow

Acceptable performance now

1054, now taking around 20 seconds to load each time.

Really odd. When I first tried, half an hour ago, it flashed up immediately .... then a few minutes later it slowed right down to a crawl - and stayed that way - but just now it started working as per normal.

It's the only site that I use that does it - everything else is fine. Especially since I moved over to FTTP.

Awfully slow for me at around 7:30 - 9:00 today. I went out at 10:15 and when I returned at 12:30 things were much faster, though still slower than most other websites.

Parliament timed out earlier and The Times paper was slow too.

all good today, quick as at anytime, how odd that i had the blue screen of death most of the day yesterday when no one else seemingly did, all other sites i visited were fine.

When it was slow last week I used Firefox and that was OK
