Hi,
Recently I noticed that my car was not running good. (losing a bit of power). I thought it was a dirty fuel filter, so I changed that and there was no change on the performance.
The car has 180,000 miles on it.
I took my car to the local garage and he put it onto his diagnostic machine.
The diagnostic machine said that it is a Actuator problem.
The guy in the shop said that the Actuator cannot be separated from the turbo and I would need to buy a whole new turbo costing £1550.00 fitted or try and get a reconditioned turbo somewhere.
As I don't know much about cars does anyone know if the Actuator can be replaced or was he looking me to buy a new turbo?
As I cant afford to spend £1550.00 on a new turbo is it ok to keep driving or could I cause further damage?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated as I am stressed!
Thanks
