Vauxhall insignia 1.8 - Coolant loss bad mpg - Jordan Dawson
Hi all, so I recently purchased a Vauxhall insignia 1.8 2010. Really happy with it until error code 3 app reads on the dash (low coolant) I did a bit of research and found two common problem relating to this. One being a cracked header tank with I have replaced. The other is the egr/cooler. Which also could cause bad mpg. I’m currently getting 21 when google says I should be getting 37 I think.

My question is, do I have a egr? If so what’re the locations of it and the cooler?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes you have an EGR, the 1.8 Vauxhall has used them for years

As well as EGR, it could be head gasket failure

There’s no usual signs of head gasket. I do keep checking this
