Volvo V70 - write-off - barney100

My 2008 diesel estate with 78k is in a sorry state after the bash. Bonnet badly buckled, off side wing concertined, bumper smashed, headlight disappeared and the power steering gone....that's what i know about. If it is written off obviously I get a derisory offer so what is the best course of action....liability admitted by other driver.

Here you go: www.honestjohn.co.uk/askhj/answer/61283/am-i-oblig...n-

Look on Autotrader.co.uk for actual market prices of cars of identical spec, year and mileage to yours and take screen-grabs so you have a record of them. Then you have a basis for arguing the true value of your car.

The other party's insurer CANNOT write the car off without your permission. You can insist they put you back where you were before the crash. Tell your insurer that you will not accept a write-off offer until you have had a quote for a repair.

Good luck with it all.
