16 plate purchase - vauxhall/toyota dealer/broker - daveyK_UK

Hi,

been tasked with purchasing a new 16 plate toyota yaris petrol (any spec - active is the chepest one) or vauxhall corsa petrol (lots of offers on the ugly sting trim with the white 'go faster' stripes and white alloys - they wont have this trim, but will have any other trim).

paying cash.

the vauxhall dealer i visited didnt offer any good deals on a non sting trim (they seem very keen to push this specific trim of corsa) - offered it for £8199 OTR.

likewise, the toyota dealer i visited to enquire on a cash price for a petrol 5 door 1.0 active model was best price £10899 - thats only a few hundred off.

does anyone have any advice on a good vauxhall or toyota dealers or brokers who like having a deal?

i did find out from reading the vauxhall owners forum, that vauxhall dealers have their biggest ever push from GM to shift stock this month - i was expecting a better reception from my local dealer.

Try coast 2 coast. When we were looking at a new Z4 last year, they came up with a stonking deal, which our local BMW dealer came within a whisker of matching (as the C2C dealer was a 400 nile round trip, we bought from our local dealer).

Our Aygo was purchased through drivethedeal at a price the local dealer could in no way match. 10 years later they are still going so must be doing something right.

went to another vauxhall dealer today, the saleswoman tried to sell me the sting model corsa, they seem keen to shift this trim model.

Any reason you wouldn't buy a pre reg or from somewhere like Motorpoint and save thousands on list price?

my personal cars are nearly always pre reg; this is for a elderly friend.

done a deal with a Vauxhall main dealer for a new 16 plate 1.2 corsa 5 door excite for £8950 OTR
